Human Capital

In the context of Apprentice Power, human capital is defined as the collective knowledge, skills, attitude, character and other assets residing in human beings, which empowers them to create economic opportunity for themselves and for the businesses, industries, communities and counties located in the 13 states and 420 counties that compose the Appalachian Region. 

Apprentice Power strategies include the alignment of robust human capital supply chains, which connect the digital manufacturing, banking and financial services industries. We utilize the growing global interest in 3D printing and robotics to harness the human capital power of a robust human capital development enterprise The process enhances the individual socioeconomic value propositions of STEAM, entrepreneurship and financial education - early college high schools and higher education institutions - work-based learning - sector-focused workforce strategies and the new collar jobs initiative.  The plan in Appalachia will also support the global strategies of these industries.
